NTPC Mouda is committed to maintaining a clean and green environment. Being Maharashtra’s largest power plant it is not only producing electricity but also taking care of the environment. Infact, for its Dadri power plant, NTPC is recycling its waste water through a decentralized waste water treatment plants.
Studies have shown that using treated wastewater has positive bearings on its turbine components, as well as corrosion and scale formation/deposition in the boiler and turbine systems. The decentralized wastewater treatment is also beneficial in instances where power plants are forced to shut down owing to a lack of water.
