Haryana has the third-highest annual groundwater withdrawal in the country, at 137 per cent of its annual extractable groundwater resources.
The depletion of the water table has been a matter of great concern for most of Haryana’s districts. Contaminated water is a bane for the Haryana state, with approximately 60% of Haryana’s groundwater being untreated and unfit for human consumption.
Fatehabad city administration has been making strenuous efforts to address the state’s acute water shortages. The city administration adopted a decentralized approach for wastewater management and opted for Daiki Axis STPs in the city.
Daiki Axis has installed 10000-litre capacity Johkasou decentralised STPs in Fatehabad city. This STP is helpful in treating 10000 litres of sewage water every day. Daiki Axis STP has the advantage of treating sewage water to an international standard, enabling it to be reused for non-potable purposes including horticulture and cleaning.
The treated wastewater also helped in reducing the pollution in Fatehabad city. Daiki Axis Johkasou is a smarter wastewater treatment system that not only helps recycle water but is also a cost-effective solution to rejuvenate the parks and green belts in Fatehabad.
Daiki Axis Johkasou is empanelled by the government of India, Ministry of Jal Shakti, for Jal Jeevan and Swachh Bharat Mission. It has also won the first prize in ‘innovation in water technology by FICCI, and it is certified as GreenPro by CII.
